Angel Road Infant and Nursery School

Special Educational Needs

Angel Road Schools are proud to be an inclusive, diverse community. We have high ambition for all children, including those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND).

Our approach to SEND is based on research and recommendations by the Educational Endowment Fund (EEF).

A 'student passport' is written for children with SEND which outlines their needs, approaches and additional resources needed. This is written by class teachers, in conjunction with the assistant SENDCo and families.

If you are concerned about the progress your child is making or you think they may have additional needs, you should speak to your child's class teacher in the first instance.

Our SEN Information Report (consultation) is part of the Norfolk Local Offer for learners with Special Education Needs (SEND). All governing bodies of maintained schools and maintained nursery schools have a legal duty to publish information on their website about the implementation of the governing body’s or the proprietor’s policy for pupils with SEN. This information is updated annually.

The Angel Road Schools local offer has been produced together by all members of the school community including school staff, pupils, families and governors.
